I'm a newbie and am having some trouble with adding the personalize it option. I want to add the option of letting the customer add a name to the design, but I also do not want to allow customize to the design. Anyone know how this is done? Thanks for any help and suggestions, they are much appreciated!

when you're creating the product and add your sample text, click the little cogs icon and select 'make this a template'. when you get to the post product for sale page, down on the bottom left there are two check boxes, one for customisation and the other for template fields - so one should stay checked for your template text and the other should be cleared to prevent customisation. If you are using Quick Create, you have to select 'templates for sale' from the drop down menu near the top of the page on the right hand column.

On what page? I've been trying to create cards where people can edit the text by using the text fields, but when it publishes the text fields aren't there. Just the Customize It button. Maybe this is why...because I'm not using this "templates for sale" that you talked about?

For anyone else it's on the 'Post Product for Sale Page' also. But if you use it, you have to go in and customise each product on the create page to UNCHECK the 'make this a template' for each of your images or they will also be templates when posted. OneToGrowOn - glad to help out - as many, many others have helped me and continue to do so
