I am a graphic designer and jewelry maker and I have a hard time finding ways to accurately print colors for small photopendants. I would make about a million of these if you were to offer photo pendant printing services. It would be a wonderful item and unique. nobody has a sevrice where you can order custom printed photo pendants that i have found.

I've thought of marketing the ornaments that way, but with the smallest size 2x3, that seems kinda on the big side. A smaller one, like a cameo size, would be fun.

I think you just need to decrease the size of the image when making the ornament. The rest should be trimmed off.

The photo-sculpture ornaments won't work that well for too many different types/colors of jewelry as they appear to come with a red ribbon loop imbedded. To make them more versatile, what they would need imbedded instead is a metal loop for securing with a ring to a necklace or chain.

In Canada, Walmart Photo Centre offers photo pendants. I don't know if there's a similar service in the US Walmarts. I see photo gifts on the .com website, but I can't get into it to check due to firewall blocks. Doesn't help for selling, but if you were looking to order one, they may have them. Patricia PR Prints

Ill add photo sculpture pendants to the wish list.

The ribbon is imbedded? I just assumed the ribbon was threaded through some kind of metal or acrylic loop. Hope someone who bought one can pop in here and let us know.

I haven't checked out photo sculptures yet. I need to do that yeah if they could create a photo pendant, made specifically for jewelry, with a maximum height or width of two inches, in either oblong, photo size, circular, or square, I would be absolutely in love with this site.

I agree with this request. I've spent the last 15 years in jewelry design, and have looked for a way to effectively combine my art with jewelry. I've done it myself here, but I have a sensitivity to chemicals so most ways of doing it don't work well for me health-wise. I would love to see Zazzle come up with this! The photo sculptures can be made as pins...however 2x3 is a bit large. I would love to see smaller size (1 1/4 - 1 1/2") pendants being offered.

I'm really interested in this place as well. But a lot of research on the internet reveals some of their products are great, but some aren't. Sometimes the quality of their printing is good, but not always. Their packing isn't great and things break. And because they are based in Hong Kong the shipping is slow and there are communication barriers. I would love it if Zazzle would carry similar products that they have at artsnow. Despite the cons of artsnow I have read good things too about them, so I'm not totally ruling them out.

I too, like the offerings at artsnow however I don't want to deal with a company based in Hong Kong (or China or Taiwan). I prefer to offer my work through a USA based company.

I've ordered photosculpture ornaments. The loop is simply a piece of red ribbon attached on the back with a piece of strong clear tape over the ribbon. It would be very easy to remove with an Xacto knife or similar. Also, if you incorporate a loop into your design, they will cut out the middle for you. http://www.zazzle.es/seida_bacon_happy_holidays_holiday_2009_ornament_photosculpture-153411975492310731This ornament has a red loop attached on the back, but the loop in the design is also cut out and I could hang it that way if I wanted.

you would have to make the image awfully small, and you'd still pay the same price. I think that would be cost inhibitive to use a photo scupture for a necklace.
I've ordered several for gifts. There is a white plastic tab adhered to the back with the red ribbon through it. You can easily remove the ribbon and could take the white piece off too.
Of course, you could market the photosculpture pins as versatile and can bebeing able to be put on a chain. I see that a lot lately - women putting pins and brooches on a chain to wear as a necklace.

I think this would be great. I'd love to make some if they ever offered them. In the summer months I sale necklaces at Farmer's Markets that I make. It would be fun to offer my own art on some of the pendants. They would need to be small maybe twinchies, inchies, and 2" x 3". And affordable as well.
